An excellent if dryly academic book detailing current research and debates regarding assertive
behaviour. It is an important book in that it makes clear the complexity of the issue (moving
discussion about assertiveness away from the banal self-empowerment of pop-psych books). It is
listed on Amazon but is currently out of print.
